COOLING PROGRAM NOTICE
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will begin scheduling appointments for the Cooling Program for Elderly Households (age 65 and older) on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
To qualify for appointments scheduled during April 2026, every adult in the household must be 65 years of age or older.
Households that do not meet this requirement should call back during the week of April 27, 2026, to check when the scheduler will open for the general public.
Required information for appointments (no digital copies will be accepted):
- Valid Picture ID
- Social Security cards for all household members
- Proof of income for the past 30 days
- Current gas AND electric bill (must be printed out on paper)
**Households with a bill credit of $1,000 or more are ineligible for LIHEAP benefits.**
